At Austin Southwest Ob/Gyn we are dedicated to offer the most advanced and innovative obstetrics and gynecology care for you. Our philosophy is for Dr. Asfouri, not an assistant, to evaluate and examine each and every patient personally, then discuss treatment options and help you decide on the best option for you.
We are very respectful of your time, both in the waiting room and the exam room, and we keep these waiting times to a minimum. We also try to accommodate patients and see them within a reasonable time; urgent patients can be seen the same day or the next day.

FACILITIES
Many procedures are done in the office: ultrasound (for Ob and Gyn), colposcopy, uterine and cervical biopsy, IUD insertion (with local anesthesia), and Explanon removal.
For deliveries, Dr. Asfouri collaborates with a team of board-certified Ob/Gyn physicians and nurse midwives at North Austin Medical Center (NAMC, a major medical center in Austin with over 10,000 deliveries a year). Dr. Asfouri personally does all scheduled C-sections, and vaginal deliveries are done by the residing physician.
Major surgeries (such as hysterectomy, myomectomy) are done at NAMC, and outpatient surgeries (such as laparascopy, hysteroscopy, LEEP) are done at Surgicare of South Austin.
